It is caused by the spiral-shaped bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi that is carried inside a tick and gets into a dog or person’s bloodstream through a tick bite. Once in the bloodstream, the bacteria can travel to different parts of the body and cause problems in specific organs or locations, such as joints, as well as overall illness.
Preventative Measures:
We recommend regular grooming to ensure that there is no scope of infestation. Natural Tick and Flea repellants are also imperative to ensure that your dog is not getting bit. Including turmeric in their diet, by way of Golden Paste, is advisable for a strengthened immunity. You can also add a small clove of grated garlic to their meals as it also acts as a tick and flea repellent.
